Welcome

of your web hosting account and is named default.html. You should delete this file or replace
it with your own home page.
If you are the owner of this website and you were expecting to see your website, here are the answers to some frequently asked questions
which may help you.
I typed in my website domain name, but it doesn't work. How can I access
my website?
If you requested the registration of a new domain name during your web hosting
order, it can take up to 24 -48 hours to appear once it has been registered.
If you requested to transfer an existing domain name into our system, we
may have to contact you for further details to enable us to transfer your
domain, or we may be waiting for the approval of the transfer by other parties.
If you chose to update only the nameservers for your existing domain name,
then it usually takes about 24-48 hours before that update takes effect around
the internet.
I just uploaded my website files to my account, but they aren't showing
up in my browser. Where is my website?
- You must be sure to upload your website files into the /public_html folder of your account. (This is known as your "website root" folder.)
If you upload your files anywhere else, then they will not be found. The most common mistake is to upload your website files into the folder you are in immediately after logging into your account with your FTP program. This is incorrect. You must first change into the /public_html folder before uploading your files. If you are using a webdesign program like Dreamweaver, then you should specify the "Host Directory" as /public_html.
- Your starting homepage file must be named either index.html, index.htm, index.php, default.html, or home.html.
I tried to publish my web site using FrontPage Extensions, but it says the server
does not support FrontPage. What's going on?
We do not recommend the use of FrontPage Extensions for your website, because it has stopped being developed or supported by Microsoft for over 10 years. In fact, we are going to remove Frontpage from our servers soon, since it will eventually become a security problem once someone figured out how to hack it. (And since Microsoft does not support it.. they won't fix any security problems that are discovered.)
If you insist on using Frontpage Extensions for your website, then you will need to enable the FrontPage Extensions for your account.
You can do this by logging into your cPanel Control Panel
and clicking the "FrontPage Extensions" link.
How do I upload my website files from my computer to my hosting account on the server?
You have several options:
- If you don't already have an "FTP" program, you can download and install FileZilla -- a free FTP program that works with Windows and the Mac. It's easy-to-use, and works very well. This is the recommended option for transferring your website files to your web hosting account.
- Your FTP account username and password are the same as your cPanel control panel account username and password.
- Don't forget to change into the "/public_html" website folder after logging into your FTP account on the server.
- See your Welcome Email for more information about how to connect to your account with an FTP program.
- You can upload your website files using the browser-based "File Manager" utility that is included in your hosting control panel.
- Log into your cPanel Hosting Control Panel and click the "File Manager" link under the "Files" section.
- Navigate into the "/public_html" folder, and then click the "Upload Files" option from the top menu. (This might take a long time if you have a lot of files in your website.)
- Use the "Web Disk" utility in your hosting control panel to make your computer see your hosting account file system as though it is a disk drive on your computer. l.
- Log into your cPanel Hosting Control Panel and click the "Web Disk" link under the "Files" section.
- Click the "Access Web Disk" button for your cpanel user.
- Now follow the instructions to create a Web Disk on your computer that links to your hosting account on the server.
- Don't forget to change into the " /public_html" folder before you copy over your website files.
